BREWERY HELPER (SUMMER STUDENT)

Cabin Brewing Company is an award-winning brewery located in the Manchester Brewing area in Calgary, Alberta. We produce fun, innovative beer styles, with a strong focus on quality. We are looking for a hard-working, creative individual to help us produce quality, consistent product. We are looking for a brewery helper who will report to and work alongside the Head Brewer, Production Manager and Packaging Manager. Shifts will vary depending on the production schedule, but will include early mornings or evenings, and weekends. The work week would most likely be from Sunday to Thursday through to the end of summer (August 30, 2025). This position is full-time with an average of 30 to 40 hours per week.

Our ideal candidate is:

  • Attending or has recently graduated from a brewing/distilling program.

  • Passionate about beer.

  • Highly attentive to detail and is able to multitask effectively.

  • A good communicator.

  • Not afraid to make suggestions on process efficiencies or improvements.

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Able to work early mornings, evenings and/or weekends.

Duties:

  • Assisting with packaging into kegs and cans, along with all supporting duties to complete such tasks.

  • Raw materials handling, spent grain removal, cellaring, product transfers, carbonating, dry hopping, fermentation monitoring, clarification, keg washing & sanitizing, CIP and general cleaning and sanitation.

  • Executing the necessary production duties for fermentation management and bright beer handling.

  • Ensuring that all beer is produced to qualitative and quantitative specifications.

  • Maintaining detailed and accurate records in relation to all duties.

  • Maintaining a clean and sanitized work area to ensure quality of the highest standard.

Requirements:

  • Be aged 18 to 30 (This position is funded through a Government of Canada grant, which requires that applicants be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.)

  • Able to lift up to 25kg from the ground to shoulder height repeatedly.

  • Able to move up to 65kg with the assistance of a dolly.

  • Able to work in a hot, humid, noisy environment, and stand for extended periods.

  • Able to work safely with chemicals and motorized equipment with appropriate supplied PPE.

  • Comfortable climbing and handling raw materials on a ladder.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING (SUMMER STUDENT)

Cabin is seeking a temporary Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our Calgary brewery and taproom team for summer. We want a highly-organized and motivated go-getter who can bring some magic to our social media and marketing presence. Working with the sales and marketing team, the successful candidate will spend summer at the Cabin as one of the faces of the brewery, taking the lead in running our social media platforms and assisting in campaigns, in-person events, tastings and all other manner of fun times! 

As a smaller company – we have just 22 employees – you have the ability to make a huge impact. From social media and marketing content creation, to strategic planning, to beer release planning and boots-on-the-ground fun at events and tastings, you will be thrown head-first into Cabin’s summer routine. Job Duties:

  • Represent Cabin Brewing Company and its products positively to current and potential customers. 

  • Improve Cabin’s social media presence through captivating posts and videos, and be able to assess their success using analytics.

  • Develop social media and marketing strategies using S.M.A.R.T goals.

  • Update and refresh website content.

  • Plan and execute small-scale events.

  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content across all platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Participate in events, festivals and tastings to increase brand awareness.

  • Participate in regular sales and marketing team calls and planning meetings.

Requirements:

  • Be aged 18 to 30 (This position is funded through a Government of Canada grant, which requires that applicants be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of employment.)

  • Have ProServe certification, or be willing to get it.

  • Be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Proficient in all major social media platforms. 

  • Videography and photography is an asset. 

  • Graphic design experience is an asset.

Wage and benefits:

  • $23 an hour / 35 to 40 hours a week.

DELIVERY DRIVER

Cabin Brewing Company is an award-winning brewery located in the Manchester Brewing area in Calgary, Alberta. We produce fun, innovative beer styles, with a strong focus on quality. We are looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to help us deliver Cabin products to customers, working alongside the Sales and Delivery team. This position is part-time and will be Tuesday to Friday, 24 to 32 hours a week. 

Experience/Skills:

  • Valid class 5 driver’s license with at least three years of driving history. 

  • Insurance history with no claims in the last 3 years.

  • Clean driving record (no convictions in the past three years)

  • Ability to repeatedly to lift kegs weighing 60kg (132lb)

  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

  • Practical knowledge of beer and brewing is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering beer to our customers using a company-provided delivery vehicle

  • Be a positive brand ambassador for Cabin Brewing Company 

  • Other duties as required  

What We Offer:
