PACKAGING HAND
Cabin Brewing Company is an award-winning brewery located in the Manchester Brewing area in Calgary, Alberta. We produce fun, innovative beer styles, with a strong focus on quality. We are looking for a hard-working and motivated individual to help us package some of the best beer in the province. We are looking for a packaging hand who will report to and work alongside the Head Brewer, Production Manager and Packaging Manager. Shifts will vary depending on the production schedule. This position will average approximately 30 hours per week.
Duties include:
Assisting the canning line operator on packaging days, including off-packing, packaging materials prep, canning line cleaning, organizing and assembling used can dunnage.
Wrapping pallets and putting them away in the cooler.
Keeping the cooler clean & organized.
Operating the canning line in situations where the canning line operator is not able to.
Keg washing & sanitizing, and general brewery cleanliness and sanitation.
Packaging product into kegs.
Assisting with warehousing as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Executing the necessary duties for canning assistance.
Maintaining detailed and accurate records in relation to all duties.
Maintaining a clean and sanitized work area to ensure quality of the highest standard.
Physical requirements:
Able to lift up to 12kg from the ground to shoulder height repeatedly.
Able to move up to 65kg with the assistance of a dolly.
Able to work in a hot, humid, noisy environment, and stand for extended periods.
Able to work safely with chemicals and motorized equipment with appropriate PPE.
Comfortable climbing an 8 foot step ladder.

Remuneration
$19 an hour starting wage
